JANUARY 30, 2010 – A 29-year-old San Jose man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on Saturday after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed on Interstate 280, killing a male passenger. The accident happened on the transition from northbound Meridian Avenue to Interstate Highway 280. The driver, Sean Betti, lost control of his vehicle and struck a dirt embankment, causing the vehicle to rollover. A 25-year-old Campbell man was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he died of his injuries shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday. Another passenger was not hurt in the crash, the CHP said. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
