Woman in Crosswalk Struck and Killed Tuesday Night in Hayward

MARCH 31, 2010 – A female pedestrian in her 40′s was struck and killed Tuesday night in Hayward, police reported. The Alameda County pedestrian accident occurred at Mission Boulevard at Berry Avenue around 10:20 p.m. According to reports by San Jose Mercury News, the woman, who was not identified, was crossing the intersection when she was struck. The driver, a 29-year-old man on his way home from California State University East Bay, stopped at the scene and voluntarily submitted to a blood test. The Alameda County coroner’s bureau is investigating. Anyone with information about the northern California pedestrian accident is asked to contact Hayward police Officer DeCosta at (510) 293-7099.
