SACRAMENTO COUNTY – On November 17, 2012, 11 people were injured after a Light Rail train and a semi truck collided. According to an ABC News 10 report, the accident occurred at about 6 p.m. on the Light Rail tracks near 1200 North B Street in Sacramento.
Eight of the 11 victims were treated and released, but three victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. The victims included the operator of the Light Rail train and train passengers. The semi truck driver was not injured in the crash. Police and Light Rail crews are investigating the cause of the crash.
